A supermarket, cafés and restaurants are within walking distance. It is a good base for guests who want the beach and everyday services without relying on a car.

Fuengirola's coastline is divided into seven urban beaches, all reachable from the seafront promenade. Los Boliches beach and the promenade are about 350 m (a 5-minute walk) from the Terraza Fuengirola penthouse, and the marina is 1.2 km further along the promenade.

The C-1 train and getting around without a car

Cercanías Málaga line C-1 links Málaga Centro-Alameda with Fuengirola, calling at the airport, Benalmádena-Arroyo de la Miel and Los Boliches, and ends at Fuengirola station. From Los Boliches station there are direct trains to Málaga Airport (about 30 minutes) and to Málaga city (about 45 minutes). Local buses connect Fuengirola with Benalmádena and Mijas. From Málaga Airport to Fuengirola

Fuengirola is about 33 km south-west of Málaga city and is connected to it and to its airport by the A-7 motorway, the AP-7 toll motorway and the C-1 train. From the airport there are two usual options: the direct C-1 train to Los Boliches (about 30 minutes) or a car (about 25 minutes to the Terraza Fuengirola penthouse).

What to do nearby

About 10 minutes by car from the Terraza Fuengirola penthouse are Sohail Castle, a Moorish fortress beside the mouth of the Fuengirola river, and the Bioparc. Fuengirola holds a street market on Tuesdays at the fairground. Benalmádena and Puerto Marina are about 15 minutes by car, Mijas Pueblo about 20 and Marbella about 30.
